What the pandemic has reminded us about what good education should be

Vishnu Karthik is currently the CEO of Xperiential Learning Systems and Director of The Heritage Group of experiential learning schools. Vishnu is keenly interested in building instructional leadership capabilities, cognitive neuroscience, education technology, college readiness and placements, student leadership development, adolescent coaching, authentic assessments, and deeper learning curriculum. His articles on education, K-12 schools, and cognitive neuroscience have appeared in newspapers including The Hindu, TOI, TNM, and Swarajya. He is a practitioner of Yoga and Vedanta and believes that his work is a medium to reach his deeper self. He is also a proud father of a beautiful daughter who has Down Syndrome.

Binaifer Sahukar

Relationship counsellor and family therapist Ms. Binaifer Sahukar, strongly believes in the healing power of talking. She has 27 years of experience as a psychotherapist with an MSW in Family and Child Welfare (TISS 1992) and an M.Sc Psychology (Madras University 2002). She also consults at Viacom 18 and VJTI Engineering college. Ms Sahukar is effective in her handling of both straight and gay couples and is particularly good at counselling individuals struggling with depression and anxiety. Once a month, she has group therapy sessions called Story Swappers at which an eclectic group of corporate professionals, students and housewives sit in a warm non-judgmental circle swapping stories of their joys and stresses. She has conducted numerous workshops to spread mental health awareness in both educational institutions and corporate organisations.
